We are thrilled to see this news in Inside Radio today and are especially pleased for our family at ACIR that is now an integral part of such an influential digital platform:

iHeartMedia has partnered with Mexican radio giant Grupo ACIR to bring its digital music, podcasting and live streaming radio service to the nation. iHeartRadio México is available in beta, with an official launch planned for Nov. 3 at the iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina in Miami. The new service will include all 56 Grupo ACIR and 850 iHeart live broadcast radio stations from México and the U.S.

The Mexican version of the app’s music, news/talk, comedy and sports content will include all of iHeart’s exclusive digital-only original stations spanning all genres of music, including “On The Move w/Enrique Santos” and Grupo ACIR’s own digital-only stations featuring the most popular genres in México. Users will also have access to English- and Spanish-language podcasts and Hispanic-targeted on-air personalities from the iHeart roster.

“We are excited to expand our partnership with Grupo ACIR to launch iHeartRadio México and now make iHeartRadio available across all of North America,” said Darren Davis, president of iHeartRadio and iHeartMedia Networks Group. “To extend iHeartRadio’s footprint across México allows us to expand our brand and reach more listeners globally.”

Added Antonio Ibarra, CEO of Grupo ACIR, “This partnership will allow us to better connect with our audience by delivering a free music listening experience to our users and partners. Our advertisers will also benefit from new comprehensive digital tools to reach their consumers more efficiently.”

Grupo ACIR includes some of the country’s top radio brands, such as Amor, Mix and La Comadre.

To celebrate the launch, Grupo ACIR will award a music fan a VIP experience to the fifth annual iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina in Miami Nov. 3. Hosted by Enrique Santos, the concert will include performances by Pitbull, Nicky Jam, Steve Aoki, Farruko, Nacho, Becky G and Zion and Lennox, Manuel Turizo, Mau & Ricky and Corazón Latino honoree Marc Anthony.

iHeartRadio is now available across the U.S., Canada and Mexico—all of North America—as well as Australia and New Zealand. The all-in-one digital service has more than 121 million registered users, has been downloaded more than two billion times and is available on more than 250 devices.
